African Bush Camps - Zimbabwe
African Bush Camps is our preferred partner in Zimbabwe. The story of African Bush Camps is a true testament to perseverance. The owner of African Bush Camps, Beks Ndlovu, began his safari career as a guide. He quickly became one of Zimbabwe’s most respected and experienced guides and eventually started African Bush Camps; his first camp being Somalisa in Hwange National Park The Somalisa concession is also the home of Cecil the Lion who was murdered by an American trophy hunter, but the lions he left behind has persevered as well.
African Bush Camps’ properties in Mana Pools and Hwange National Parks are in prime locations to experience the incredible wildlife and scenery that makes Zimbabwe a top safari destination. Enjoy an authentic safari experience and go on safari with African Bush Camps. If you visit Somalisa, you may even set your eyes on Cecil’s legacy of the lions he left behind. Sometimes in tragedy there arises a silver lining. The death of Cecil highlighted the scourge of trophy hunting and the many other threats facing lions today. Our picks are Zambezi Expeditions and Somalisa Expeditions camps.
